It was a hungry pussy cat, upon a Thanksgiving morn,
And she watched a thankful little mouse, that ate an ear of corn.
"If I ate that thankful little mouse, how thankful he should be,
When he has made a meal himself, to make a meal for me!
Then with his thanks for having fed, and his thanks for feeding me,
With all his thankfulness inside, how thankful I shall be"
Thus mused the hungry pussy cat, upon Thanksgiving Day:
But the little mouse had overheard and declined (with thanks) to stay.

Instructions for Baccalaureate; Assemble in cafeteria at 7:30 P.M. You will be lined up in alphabetical order at this time. Graduates should wear caps and gowns. The cap should be placed on the head with the deep part to the back. The tassel is worn draped over the left front quarter of the cap. Graduates will march single file through the north or south doors of the girls' locker room into the fieldhouse. March slowly with an arm's length between individuals. Remain standing until after the invocation. Boys are to remove caps immediately before the invocation and put them on directly after the benediction. Students remain standing following the benediction and then march out with those on the aisle in the back rows leaving first.
Instructions for Commencement! Assemble in cafeteria at 7:30 P.M. The line of march used in Baccalaurate will again be used. March slowly with even spaces along the line. Suggestions; Get here plenty early. We anticipate a big crowd. Remember no tickets will be given for seats. It will be a matter of first come, first served.
Make this a Baccalaureate and. Commencement you can be proud of. Don't talk to your neighbor or chew gum, March slowly and remain quiet as the sound carries back to the fieldhouse filled with your guests. It is not considered good taste to wear flowers with cap and gown. Note that the time for Baccalaureate and Commencement is 8:00 p.m. rather than 7:30 as previously reported.

Here are answers to some of your questions concerning graduation:
Unsuitable clothing cannot be worn under your cap and gown. This applies to wearing shorts, sun tans, T-shirts, sport shirts or team jackets. Boys are to wear white shirts with ties. Girls are requested to wear dresses or skirts, without all the extra petticoats, as it spoils the effect of the gown. Corsages are not to be worn with gown. No gum chewing, please. There is to be no smoking during practice or before graduation exercises. If for any reason you cannot be here either night, you must notify Mr. Duckett immediately.
This is our big week. Let's follow instructions and make the graduation of '58 the best everI
Once again, GOOD LUCK IN YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVORS !
