Ron Boverie and I have been married for 42 years. We have a daughter Dawn and a son John. We have four grand-children: Breann (15) and Heather (10) are Dawn's daughters, while Stephanie (11) and John Jr. (6) are John's kids. We watch them quite a lot. Ron and I are both still working. I've been with the same allergy doctor for the past 28 years. It's always been a part-time position - but it gets me out of the house as one can only watch the grand-kids so much. I still work because I enjoy the job so much and like most of the patients. Ron still drives and owns his own semi-truck, but has cut back some on working in order to have more time for his golf. We've traveled a lot during our years together. Our son John was on a traveling hockey team during his elementary and high school years. So we've been to Canada numerous times, Alaska and even went to the United States Championships in Northern Michigan - But didn't win that one. On our way to Michigan we flew into Mitchell field in Milwaukee and had a slight travel delay, so I introduced all the adult parents to Wisconsin beer, sauerkraut and bratwurst at a local eatery. We have also traveled for Ron's sport - golf. He used to belong to a traveling golf team and once a month they would play a round at various golf clubs in California. His golf clubs have accompanied us to the Bahamas , Hawaii and a lot of the United States. Every Labor Day finds us in Pahrump, Nevada for a three day tournament: Ron plays a round and I meet with the "Breakfast Club". We non-playing wives meet for breakfast and take in a little gambling. Whenever I go back to Waukesha for a visit, I make sure to take the tour of homes I've lived in along with places like "The Attic" and visiting my parent's graves. The only other place I'm sure to visit is "The Grotto" for an Italian sausage and pepper sandwich. It's alway a take-out and we have a nice lunch down by the Fox River. It's always nice to visit "Home" every so often - but it truly feels good to get back to my other "Home" in California. Julie (Strelecki) Boverie |

I can't believe it has been 50 years either. Since High School I graduated from the Uni. of Stout, married Dean Brandow, moved 4 times ending up in Hazelhurst Wi. just 10 miles south for Minocqua. We have had a home here since 1991 and when I retired we decided to make this our home. I was Director of Sales at the Fireside Dinner Theatre for 25 years. I always said I had the best job in the state of Wi. because all I did was travel and sit around and talk alot. Dean and I have 2 children. Suzanne and Dean Scott each having one daughter making just the 2 grandchildren which we have made a point of enjoying fully. Jean and I remain very close sharing cousins camp here at the lake with our granddaughters each summer.Enjoying trips with our daughters and granddaughters to New York and now Italy and Germany this summer. We are lucky to have our children and grandchildren enjoying one another so much. I love gardening(flowers),playing bridge( more than I should), entertaining, cooking( that always brings in the friends) , living on the water and all that brings in, and of course my family. Looking forward to seeing everyone. I know for many it is more than a 4 hour trip but I'm sure it will be worth the effort. Thanks to the committee for all their effort and time. |

After graduation, I worked full time for the Waukesha County Recreation Agent. That's where I met my husband Warren Braun. He was a teacher and coach at Catholic Memorial High School. We had three children and I was a "stay-at-home Mom" until it was time to start paying college tuition. We've lived in Milwaukee since 1963. I've held several different jobs but my favorite was seven years as a Tour Director for Lamers Tour and Travel. I saw a lot of the United States while helping people fulfill their dream vacations. I was on a train trip in Canada on 9-11. The most difficult job I've had in the past 50 years is my current position as the caregiver and POA for my 91 year old Mother with dementia. My husband and I have two sons, a daughter and six grandchildren ages 9 to 22. We celebrated 49 years of marriage on June 20. See you at the reunion! |

Dave Brisk After graduation I stayed in Waukesha and tried a couple different jobs. I joined the Wisconsin Army National Guard (32nd Red Arrow Div.) in 1959 and went for 6 months training. My wife, Gerry, class of 59, and I were married September 2, 1961. About a month after we were married the 32nd Division was called to active duty for the Berlin Crisis and was sent to Fort Lewis, Washington were we stayed for a year before being released from active duty and returned to Wisconsin. Upon returning to Waukesha I went to work for Wisconsin Centrifugal where I stayed for 37 years retiring in 1999. Gerry and I have 2 children, a son Lee, born in 1967 and a daughter, Gina, born in 1970. Lee and his wife Cathy have 2 children, Alison 13 and Katie 6. Gina has 2 children, Tara 12 and Cole is 11. Gina lives in Dousman and is employed by the City of Waukesha. Our son Lee took over ownership of the Randle-Dable Funeral Home in September of 1999, the same year I retired and I help out there when needed. I am presently in my 3rd year as Commander of D. J. Martin American Legion Post 8 in Waukesha and was also elected in May as a Vice Commander for the lst District, American Legion, Dept of Wisconsin. I also serve on the Legislative Committee for the Dept. of Wisconsin. These activities keep me pretty busy but I still find time to hunt and fish as often as possible. I have had some heart problems, one heart attack in 2001 and another in 2003 but as long as I keep taking my meds and somewhat trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle, life is good. Spending time with the grandchildren helps keep you young. Looking forward to the reunion in September. |

I have been married 47 years and have three married daughters and six grandchildren age 3 to 19 years. I worked in the office at Golden Guernsey Dairy 17 years. For the last 32 years I’ve been at Jack Safro Toyota where I still work about 16 hours a week. Working part-time allows us to spend more time with the family, especially the grandchildren. We both enjoy traveling, so do as much as we can, sometimes with friends, with relatives or just by ourselves. |

Hi Everyone! I loved our 40th reunion ( my husband came with me) and can't wait to reconnect at our 50th (this time he is opting out). After I graduated from Mt. Mary College in Wauwatosa, I taught in Minnesota and then Brookfield, WI before moving to Spain for one year. From there I decided to try Boston and what a good decision that was! I continued teaching as my career, and met my husband, Rama, who was from India, working as an engineer in Boston when we met in 1972, We were married a year later and have been married for 35 yrs. We have 2 daughters, Alia, whom we adopted from the Philippines when we lived there from 1975-77, and where I took the time to get a Masters Degree in Education, and Laura who was born 3 yrs later. Within the last few years, Laura got her Master's Degree in Financial Planning and then bought a condo in Boston. But we are still not emply nesters, because we are raising our wonderful, first grandson, Michael. Alia had him when she was young, wanting "someone of her own", but then reality stepped in. He is going into the 7th grade and we plan on being his parents until we take him to college! While he and his mom are very close and see each other frequently, he has chosen to stay with us. He brings plenty of enjoyment into our house, and it does keep us young-er-maybe! After staying home with our daughters, I began a business 20 yrs ago called the Boston Nanny Centre. Rama is fully retired and 3 yrs ago I semi-retired. If I had known how enjoyable retirement was, I would have done it first! We have a vacation home on Martha's Vineyard which we do not get away to often enough. So, if you are coming to New England and would like to visit there, please call. We can chat on the beach! |

Greeting to the members of the Class of 1958! Since I probably won't be able to attend the reunion, I thought it best to comply with the request to update folks as to where, what, and how I have spent the past 50 years after graduating and leaving the South Campus of Waukesha High School. I spent five years at the University of Wisconsin in Madison completing my bachelors and double masters degrees in Education. Following that period of time I was a resident of Elgin, Illinois for four years teaching in a Junior College and high school. I also spent some of that time at Northern Illinois University developing programs for gifted and talented high school students in addition to trying to gain some knowledge to make my life more interesting, at least for myself! In 1968, I returned to Madison to once again graduate for a fourth time. I had a bit of a leukemia problem in that same year so I stayed close to the University Hospitals group. Fortunately that problem resolved itself in five years with a great deal of support from the physicians in the area. From 1968, until retirement in 2002 to take care of an aging parent, I taught on the Madison campus in the Medical School, the School of Allied Health Professions, and the Department of Kinesiology within the School of Education. Dorthy Kleinfelter was the one WHS graduate who was a constant contact while she served as the one person who very skillfully handled the financial affairs for the School of Education. Once in a while I would run into Annie Davies at a wedding or a shopping mall. Other than that, I lost contact with folks! From 1968 through 2002, I taught courses in the design of adaptive equipment for persons with disabilities and assistive technology on the Madison campus. As a result of that work, I served as a consultant for persons with disabilities in the Carter and Clinton administrations. I don't quite know how that happened, as I was neither a democrat nor a republican! I worked on several grants with the Trace Research and Development Center on the Madison campus and presented at numerous assistive technology and disability conferences across the country. For the past two years I have worked on an Access-ED grant at UW-Milwaukee dealing with Universal Design. I have found that working, as an unpaid consultant, is not very rewarding! One of the most exciting times I spent in technology resulted in my contributing to the use and development of the Info-Windows with IBM. I received a Trocho Grant from IBM in the late 1980's and worked on the development of the touch screen for them. That technology has changed greatly since we first touched a screen with a finger, mouth stick or some other adaptation to navigate through text and images on the computer screen. The Info-Window was new technology that exploded into becoming a great assistive technology tool for the disabled as well as for persons with ability. This experience propelled me into additional designs and development issues related to assistive technology for persons with disability until the day I retired. My life also included a long career as an exhibiting craftsperson in the area of jewelry. This came as a complete surprise to me! I was fortunate enough to exhibit my work across the country in museums as well as invited exhibitions. I have work in museum collections and many private collections across the country. Recognition of my work was validated through the National Endowment of the Arts by one of the organizations former directors. Additionally, while at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the early sixties, I was one of the first seven graduate students to work with glass artist, Harvey Littleton in his Verona, Wisconsin studio. Harvey is now a multi-millionaire with his glass studio in North Carolina and has many graduates of international fame. (One of which was not me!) The glass experience was too hot for me so I began to work with precious metals. I did that for over 40 years. Metal and gem work were a great tranquilizer for me!I have been fortunate to have been surrounded by wonderful and gifted individuals all of my life. Two of these individuals include two adopted daughters. Yes, I am an old single parent of sorts! One of the young women is an Urban Planner in London and one is a water resources person also with a degree in Urban Planning. The last is the younger and I imagine she will be headed for law school after she finishes her second master's degree. I am fortunate that the stock market is and continues to be good to me to pay for all of this! So, that is my life in a nutshell! Not overly exciting, but I would do it all over again! I spend summers in the northwest in either the Portland, Oregon area, Bellevue, Washington area or at times in British Columbia where I love to get lost in the water, the mountain and the lush scenery. (That is why I have missed several reunions!) I am simply addicted to the out-of-doors! In the past, I have spent many of my summers in Colorado Springs in the hills above the Air Force Academy and near the areas that I loved to ski. Washington, Oregon, Utah and Davos, Switzerland all remain(s) on my list of most visited ski destinations. I no longer ski due to an injury but I still go and sit in the sun! I am sorry that I will not be at the 50th reunion, however, I hope that everyone has a joyous time! I feel that I was extremely blessed growing up in Waukesha and going through school with the Class of 1958! It is something that I might like to do over? The City of Waukesha and our class has been a driving force behind my life. So, to name a few, BoTo, Gary, John, Sam, Jerry, Barb, Kay Lee, Lynn, Annie and all of you, thank you for the great life experience! To each of you reading this message, do live long and most important, live in good health and with mucho gusto! You are here only once! It has been a wondrous experience! Bob Christiaansen, Retired! |

Hello W.H.S. Classmates: Our hard working reunion comm. has reminded me it's been 50 years since we graduated. If that's true- I must bee 68 !!! I,m fine with this because it was great to be a teenager in the 50's. This is what I have been doing and I hope to see you all in September. After two years of college I married Jim Cirillo (C.M.H.) We remained in Waukesha where our children were born, 1 boy & 3 girls. In 1965 I appeared in Waukesha Civic theater's operetta H.M.S. Pinefore, and realized how much I missed my music. A few years later, my brother Larry & I began entertaining at restaurants and country clubs in the Waukesha-Milwaukee area. We did this for many years. In 1972, Jim & I bought my great grand-parents homstead (1905) in New Berlin. I taught myself to refinish woodwork, family heirlooms, and began collecting other treasure to restore. I still enjoy this. In 1979 we started building a cabin on a river in N. Central WI. for my Mom's retirement-a hands on project that took us 4 yrs to complete. Since her death in 2000, and Jim's retirement in 2001, we've spent more time there-fixing, painting, rebuilding, and sometimes even relaxing. In 1985, I took a drapery class @ WCTC, and fiound I had a talent for designing & sewing custom window treatment. Soon, a classmate asked me help her open a "designers workroom" in Brookfield. 5 years later I started a business in my home. I'm now retired. The memory of an incident in my childhood-the theft of my dolls & buggy from our sidewalk in Waukesha, led Mom & me to search for replacements. This began a special hobby for us-collecting all types of dolls - old & new. I especially loved restoring the neglected orphans- and still do. I've been playing with dolls & babies for over 65 years !!! Living in my family home sparked my interest in my geneology. I've done pretty well, but would love a computer to go further with my research. In 2001, I wrote & published the facinating story of Jim's parents journey from Italy to America and their life together. It seems I do love subjects related to history. I didn't have a clue my Jr. year and neither did Miss. Jones. I now share my love of music with my grand-daughter Jenna, age 10, who looks and sings like "Annie". We have 7 grand kids-5 to 23. They all have special talents and are great kids. |

After graduating from UW-Madison in 1965, I began working in the sales department for the Heil Company, a transportation equipment manufacturer in Milwaukee. At that time Jean, my first wife, and I lived in Milwaukee until I was transferred to St. Louis, MO. After only four years, I was again transferred, this time to Lancaster, PA. That was a delightful assignment, as we were only a 2-hour drive to Washington, D.C. or to New York City and only 1 hour to Philadelphia and Baltimore. We spent wonderful vacations at the Delmarva peninsula as well as the Smokies and the coast of Maine. Both of my daughters, Sarah and Katie, were born during this time. All too soon, the 4 years there ended because I was transferred back to Wisconsin. We made Oconomowoc our home, and we loved the "lake area" and all it had to offer in recreation, dining and educational opportunities. During my 20+ years with Heil, I had several sales and sales management positions. In 1986 Heil decided to move their corporate offices to Tennessee, and instead of moving once again, I decided to remain a yankee and subsequently became employed at Stuart Tank Sales Corp. in Elkhorn, WI, in their sales department. Throughout my 20 years at Stuart, I traveled all over Wisconsin and into Iowa and Illinois selling tank trailers. I retired at the end of December 2006 and officially became "house husband," enjoying my freedom from the daily 6 a.m. wake-up buzzers. I took to tending my lawn and surrounding property, but after enduring one winter (the winter from Hell 2007-08) with little to do but shovel snow, I found I had the itch to return to the workforce because I had a desire to interact with people again as well as learn new things. And so, I began working part-time in April of this year at a brand new Menard's store in Janesville. On a personal level, Jean and I were divorced in 1992, and I was remarried in 1994 to a wonderful woman Nancy who was living in Colorado at the time. Our wedding took place in the mountains at a very quaint and lovely chapel on the Poudre River, and our "honeymoon" was our trip back to Wisconsin to settle in our new home in the Kettle Moraine area of Whitewater, WI, where we continue to live today. We enjoy an occasional trip back to Colorado to get back to the mountains and to visit with friends that Nancy made during her 2-year stay in Fort Collins. In 2000 we purchased a 25-acre parcel of beautiful, tree-filled hills north of Richland Center, WI, and we spend as much time there as possible enjoying the wildlife and the peacefulness of the area. Our intent was to retire there, but that did not work out, so we now use it as our private getaway. In our spare time, both Nancy and I are involed in various activities and ministries of the United Methodist Church in Whitewater. We find that "church life" is very rewarding and is a very important part of our lives. My daughters Sarah and Katie are are two speical people in my life. Both live overseas, which makes it a bit difficult to see them on a regular basis. Sarah lives in the London area with her husband Glenn and their son Carson, who was born in May 2007. Katie has been liiving in Bonn, Germany, since 1995, and she married Thomas, a German citizen, in 2005. We are pleased when they are able to come to the US, and our occasional trips to the UK and Germany to visit them have been enjoyable, but the exchange rate really hurts! Their last trip to the US last fall (2007) was for a sad reason, as their mother Jean passed away from cancer. It has been fun reading on the reunion website about the many and varied things our classmates have done, but it is sad to realize that so many have departed this life so soon. There are a few bios that put me right back to '57-'58; I can almost hear them speaking: Tom D., Tom W., Don B.... There is one calssmate in particular that I miss and with whom I wish I had kept in touch, and that is Rich Hernandez. As I look back over the past 50 years, I have thought about what he had to offer: acceptance, gentleness, sense of humor, caring, family pride and personal integrity. I wish I could have absorbed it all and sooner. Who else would dye a blond spot in his hair in 1957?! Waukesha lost a wonderful leader. There are so many of you I would like to see. Because Nancy is currently experiencing some health issues, I/we can't commit to coming to our 50th reunion, but I send out a personal wish that everyone who attends will have a wonderful and joyous time. As we all have become more "mature and experienced" (certainly not old!), we know who we are, where we have been and what is most important in our lives. If anyone cares to send an email to keep in touch, I would really enjoy hearing from you. (Email address is bobcy94@yahoo.com) And one last postscript - a BIG thank-you to David Kerzner and David Fuller for putting together this great website! |
